These are hyper-local measurements combined with AI learning to create an accurate forecast; see the Tempest Weather System page for more info. In a nutshell, this system uses AI learning to take data from tens of thousands of individually-owned weather stations to create forecast models and weather forecasts. In my experience, the forecasts provided by the Tempest network are more reliable than those from the well-known apps and government-funded networks.
Need to change the station? Easy, click the "Map" option to load the entire network (this may take a minute depending on your connection) and then select a station nearest to your current location.
Historical Data
To access historical data and view in a timeline (i.e. temperature trends); tap or click the icon in the upper right corner of the frame (the weather station icon) or any of the elements of the upper panel (temperature, wind, UV, etc.). This brings you to the local data page. Click any of the data elements to view historical information; you can change the timescale to view more or less information. Data is retained for 13 months.
To view max and min data for day, week, month, year, or all time (available data from 2020) tap the history icon in the menu ribbon. Note that wind data only reports min and max average wind speeds, not gusts.
